Bilshivtsi
Village
in Halych district. Former name was Bolszowce in Polish and Bolshovtsy in Russian.
It is located tsome 10 km to the north of Halych. It has about
5.000 inhabitants or less maybe..
I was in Bilshivtsi with my friend in October, 1999. It was
rather a small town before.
The village had quite a number of Jews living there. Now there is
now House of Culture
in the building where was synagogue.
For a while it was district center in Ivano Frankivsk region,
later incorporated into Halych district.
