The internet is now a standard means of communication for millions of people all over the world. If your organisation has a contact phone number and a mailing address, it could probably benefit from having a web site too.
Too many organisations waste fat wads of money paying for cosmetically-engineered web sites. Updates are expensive, so what little content is initially included soon becomes stale. Visitors may be impressed on the first visit, but are disappointed to find no new information on their second visit. They don't return after that.
It doesn't have to be this way.
Fog Creek Software's CityDesk is an easy-to-use, low-cost web site content management system. In fact, it's free if you have less than 50 pages of content on your web site. I've designed this template and the accompanying documentation to help non-profit web sites put CityDesk to work for them.
If you can use a word processor, you can use CityDesk.
Please send me an email when you have your site up, and show me what you've done!
