"Make your own webpage in a few easy steps. During the course you will get familiar with HTML to have a sound understanding of the basics. Then with the help of a free editor you'll put together your own personal or business webpage choosing from hundreds of design templates. Finally we'll tailor the design to our own needs and preferences.

Day 1

  • Basics of HTML. What code is, what it does, how it is read by browsers.
  • Creating an HTML file from Notepad
  • Introduction of NVU workspace
  • How to Use the NVU Editor
  • Page title and page description
  • Site structure

Day 2

  • Text and formatting (font, types of font, color, style, alignment)
  • Bulleted and numbered lists
  • Insertion of symbols, lines
  • Backgrounds (colored and picture-based). Background images

Day 3

  • Iimages
  • Broken images
  • Links: internal links.
  • Images as links
  • Links (continued): external, contact and anchors
  • Tables use in page structure and layout
